Summary of Stephness: Steph visits Anarky in prison. He continues to try to recruit her, telling her to go to a warehouse in a few weeks. She continues to reject his ideology, but is wavering. On her way out, Clayface sees her, and tries to tell her the news about Tim, but she leaves angrily before he can.
In her secret base, Steph is falling apart, talking to her dad's costume in its case. She even wonders if she should start a life of crime like her father, when a knock interrupts her. The person, unseen by the audience for a page, tells Steph he didn't fake his death, and has thought of her every day. Steph tells the voice to shut up, crying and smiling, and leaps forward to reveal it's Tim, as she kisses him fiercely (mirroring Robin #174).
Three weeks later, Steph assists Tim, Cass, Batwoman, Clayface, Azrael, and Batwing to take down Killer Moth and his proposed gang. She's thrilled to be back with Tim and Cass, but Tim has been hiding that he doesn't intend to go to school like he was before he "died." Batwoman tells Tim not to piss off his girlfriend, but he deflects the issue.
Behind the Scenes: Former Police Commissioner Michael Akins has been appointed Mayor of Gotham after Mayor Hady was murdered by Shiva in League of Shadows. Steph fans will sadly remember his part in the War Games crossover, which makes his appearance a bit ominous for our favorite purple urbex hobbyist.
